MANILA, Philippines--Networking firm Cisco and Internet service provider Infocom are taking a step further to provide
a cheap all-in-one communication infrastructure for the country's small scale industries.
Cisco Philippines Country Manager Stephen Misa said the Philippines is a market largely dominated by small scale businesses t
hat have to maintain manageable operating budgets.
Misa said small scale businesses are those that have 10 to about 100 employees and assets of P1.5 million to P15 million.
He said these small companies are continually expanding even with a few number of employees.
Infocom President and CEO Edgardo Bautista believed there is a market for affordable, all-in-one converged services.
Clients include small businesses now looking to replace their communications infrastructure and startups wanting an
integrated communications solution.
Amid the ongoing economic crisis, small businesses continue to expand their infrastructure needs under minimal budgets,
according to Bautista.
The Office-in-a-Box is a converged Internet and analog communications solution that allows for flexible management of all
incoming and outgoing calls, integration of commonly used desktop applications and customer management functionalities.
Cisco provides the equipment while Infocom provides the managed services.
One of the key features of the infrastructure is its 24-hour on-call support and on-site technical specialist.
This Office-in-a-Box solution costs between P19,000 per month for eight users and P55,000 per month for 48 users, the executives said. |
